Looking back at the 2017 congress

The 2017 Montessori Europe Congress took place in the Hague from 3 – 5 November at the Haags Montessori
Lyceum (HML).

Friday 3 November the opening of the congress was partly combined with the official centenary of the Dutch Montessori Association (NMV). The audience, a mixture of ME congress attendees and NMV members, was especially impressed by the presentation of childen’s rights by three Dutch Montessori primary schools. Their texts and their songtext can be found here.

Keynote speeches were held by Philip O’Brien, Paul Epstein and Judith Cunningham. Their texts and/or presentations can be found by clicking their name .

The congress offered workshops, forums, World Cafés, two exhibitions and plenty of opportunity during breaks, reception and dinner to connect by renewing old friendships and meeting new colleagues. HML student Floris Meijer captured a lot of those moments with his cameras. Enjoy a showcase of his work.

Another HML student, Frederique Block, wrote an enthusiastic article about her impressions of the congress. You can find that here.
