This Privacy policy statement describes the way in which Montessori Europe collects, processes and uses data. Montessori Europe is a European organisation with its legal seat in Germany. Therefore ME complies with the European and German rules, as described in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, European Union) and the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz – TMG) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG).
The security of personal data such as name, address, telephone number or email, is a serious and important concern for us. Therefore, we conduct our online activities in compliance with the respective statutory provisions relating to data protection and data security. Below, you will find the information we collect and how we handle such information.
In this statement we will deal with data concerning personal data, membership, our newsletter and our website

  1. Personal data

Montessori Europe will not transmit any personal data if we do not have specific permission to do so. We do not sell user names or email addresses to any other companies that may send you unwanted advertising material or mail.

  1. Membership

For our membership file we need a minimal number of data. As a member, we communicate with you by e-mail. This is anchored in Section 5 of our Statutes and in Section 1.f of our Membership Terms and Conditions. We therefore need to be able to use the e-mail address you have given to us for purposes of your membership, including membership fee invoicing.

  1. Newsletter

The Montessori Europe Newsletter is sent to Montessori Europe members and to addresses that have been complied on a mailing list.
The newsletter uses SEWOBE software (www.sewobe.de) that is GDPR conformant with double opt-in and unsubscribe functionality. On the newsletter SEWOBE states:
“To send our newsletters we need your mail address. A verification of this mail address is necessary to make the reception of newsletters possible. Additional data will not be asked or are voluntary. Data will be exclusively used to send the newsletter.
The data given in applying for the newsletter are used only by your consent (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO). At any time you may revoke your consent for these data. To do this a mail suffices. Alternatively you can use the unsubscribe button in the newsletter. The legitimacy of already processed data is not affected by this revocation.
In case of revocation the data will be deleted. If these data were given for other purposes and at another place, we will keep them.”
